The End

It’s a strange feeling to finally see the end of Caelum Lex. This silly little space opera has been such a huge part of my life for exactly three years and two months as of today and now it’s finished. What a three years it’s been.

Of course I want to thank all of you for all of your support, whether you’ve been with me from the start or you’re only just joining me now. Your comments and feedback and even just seeing that little view count every day have been a constant source of motivation for me to keep going even when it was rough and man, was it rough sometimes. But we made it through! And I can’t express enough how much that means to me. You read a lot of words to get here. Thank you so much.

As for me, I don’t know what’s next. I’m not much of an editor. I’m of the strict persuasion to just let sleeping dogs lie because if I didn’t I literally would never finish anything, so the story of Leta and Fiearius and Cyrus and everyone will likely stay as it is, here on this site, typos and plot holes and questionable late-night Thursday choices and all.

But maybe not. Maybe in a year I’ll feel differently. Maybe we’ll live to see an ebook or three.

Or maybe I’m not done with writing this Span. Maybe I’ll write the ‘sequel’. And believe me, I know exactly what that is and what it looks like and it is everything I didn’t have the capacity at the time to do with the original Caelum Lex.

Or maybe I’ll start a whole new project entirely. We’ll see I suppose. Whatever happens next, I’ll update here to let you lovely readers know where I’ve gone, so keep us in your feeds. In the meantime, I’m taking a little break to enjoy the holidays and some other hobbies I’ve had to sacrifice for a few years.

One thing though. I fully intend to keep this site up for any future readers to stumble across it or past readers to re-explore it. Hosting costs money and I’ll pay it regardless, but if you are so inclined, I will definitely not turn down financial support. No pressure though.

Again, thank you so much for reading Caelum Lex. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. Dov’ha re’jia.

Hello faithful readers!

Unfortunately, there will be no chapter this week due to some crazy work schedules, but we will be back in full force next week to find out what’s happening on that little Ellegian moon with Corra, Finn and the Gatekeepers of the Holy Origin. What’s their deal? What do they want? Do they know where the Transmitter is? All will be revealed!

Seeya next week and as always, thank you so much for reading! ❤

Due to one author’s traveling and another’s crazy work schedule, there won’t be a chapter this week. Sorry! We’ll be back next week though, fear not. In the meantime, check out this terribly embarrassing early pre-launch art of our favorite Dionysian crew!

Special: Concordia 1861

It was barely morning when Finn woke to the trickle of light through the overhead windows. With a loud yawn, he stretched out his arms above his head and kicked his legs out from under the sheets. What he wasn’t expecting was for something to kick back.

“Mmmgh,” mumbled a voice beside him, startling him into full waking. His eyes opened to find that those weren’t his windows that were spilling morning sun onto him, nor was it his bedding he was tangled in. This whole room belonged to the woman beside him. Continue reading

Notes From the Abyss

Hello dear readers!

First of all, just want to throw out a huge thank you to everyone out there reading this because hey, you deserve it. Thank you so much for sticking with us over the past two years, we’re having a great time writing this space beast and we truly hope you’re enjoying reading it. You are awesome.

Secondly, with Part 2 in the can, we’re taking a short little hiatus from regular chapters. Just a couple weeks. We will be back with Chapter 1 of Part 3 on November 14th and let me just tell you, Part 3? Yeah. It’s gonna be good. In the meantime, we’ll be posting some bonus content on our regular schedule to fill the gap so come back, there’s still stuff happening!

And finally, third! Caelum Lex now has a TvTropes listing! If you’re into that sort of thing, go check it out, fill it out, whatever you do. We’re certainly no strangers to tropes so that thing should be a wall, I’m certain.

And that’s it! Thanks again to all for reading, you make us smile on a daily basis, no joke. Let us know what you thought of part 2, what you liked, what pissed you off, what you want to see in part 3. We’d love to hear it. See ya back here for regular nonsense on the 14th and have a happy and safe Halloween in the interim!

Welcome to Caelum Lex Part 2

Faithful readers!

As you may or may not be aware, Friday’s chapter, 52, marked the finale of Caelum Lex Part 1. But fear not, we’re far from finished here. There are plenty more adventures with the crew of  the Dionysian to come. Part 2, chapter 1 will be up next Friday, October 11th so definitely stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, you might notice a bit of a cosmetic change to our corner of the internet. With the dawn of a new beginning, we thought it was time for a bit of a visual update as well. We hope you like the new look. We’re 95% confident it’ll make your reading experience a lot less of an eyesore.

The new look, however, isn’t all we have in store. There are other big things coming later this week. In the meantime, be sure to enter the Giveaway if you haven’t already. This is your last day to enter for the grand prize of a free digital commission. Get on that.
